Woods Cottage is on our farm. It's not a working farm anymore, just a few fields. It's a modern building, built for guests. Everything is on the ground floor.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything should work.
You're about half a mile from Evershot village. The Acorn Inn is there. Thomas Hardy used to drink there, and they do good food. There's a village shop, too.
You're right in the middle of Hardy's countryside. The lane outside is quiet, good for walking. For longer walks, you can get to the National Trust places or the coast paths within about half an hour's drive.
Dorchester is about 20 minutes by car. Bridport and West Bay are a bit less. The sea at Weymouth is about 40 minutes. The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is very popular, especially if it rains.
Practical things: it has a washing machine, a cot, and bedding is included. There's parking right outside. The garden is yours to use. No pets, I'm afraid.
