Barnyard

Barnyard is a converted barn in Hamlet, Dorset. It's detached. We finished the conversion in 2023, so everything is new. The garden is fully enclosed so it's safe for dogs and kids.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms, and each has its own bathroom. That’s good for getting ready in the morning. One bedroom has twin beds that can zip together into a super kingsize. The master bedroom has French doors out to the garden.

Inside, it's all on one level with no steps. It was designed with wheelchair access and visual impairment in mind. The main room is open plan with a vaulted ceiling. There’s a kitchen with a range cooker, a dining area, and a lounge with sofas and a Smart TV. French doors lead out to the patio.

Off the hall there’s a utility room and a separate toilet. Also a small office space with desks and screens if you need to work. It has a games console too.

Outside, there’s a large patio with seating and a barbecue. The hot tub is private, with screening around it. The garden gets the sun most of the day.

The property is on our smallholding. We have horses, sheep, and some poultry. Please keep dogs on a lead when you're outside the garden fence.

Hamlet is quiet. There's a local pub within walking distance. Sherborne is the nearest proper town, about a 15-minute drive. It has shops, cafes, and a castle. Dorchester is about half an hour away. The coast at Weymouth or West Bay is roughly a 30-minute drive.

In terms of what’s here: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. Parking for multiple cars. An electric vehicle charger. Washing machine, dishwasher. WiFi.
