Barnyard

Barnyard is in a hamlet, a few miles from Sherborne. It's a new barn conversion, finished last year. It's detached and you get the whole garden to yourselves.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. One bedroom is on the ground floor. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's very well done and has everything.

The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs. There's a patio with seating and a hot tub in the corner. It faces south, so you get the sun. The owners have a smallholding next door with sheep and chickens. You can walk around to see them, but dogs need to be on a lead outside your garden.

Inside, it's all on one level which is good for accessibility. The main room is open plan, with a kitchen, dining area, and sitting area. There are French doors to the patio. There's a separate room with desks and a games console, if you need to work or if the kids want to play. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room. One of the twin bedrooms has a shower in the room itself.

Facilities wise: it's got parking, an electric car charger, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

Sherborne is the nearest proper town, about ten minutes by car. It's got shops, cafes, and a castle. Dorchester is about twenty minutes away. The coast at Weymouth is roughly half an hour's drive. The Cerne Abbas Giant is about twenty-five minutes away.
