Ratty's
Ratty's is at White Horse Farm in Middlemarsh. It's a single-storey barn conversion, so everything's on the ground floor. That's handy.
It's a spot for two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a Three Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not a show home.
You have your own decked patio out the front. The site has a couple of acres of land, a duck pond, and a games room. There's also a big indoor barbecue hut you can book, which is a bit different.
The local pub is about two minutes' walk. It does food. The nearest shop is four miles away in Cerne Abbas, so you'll want to bring your supplies.
Cerne Abbas itself is worth a trip to see the giant on the hill. Sherborne is about six miles north. It's a nice town with an abbey, a castle, shops, and places to eat. Dorchester is twelve miles south. It's got a few museums if that's your thing.
For a day out, the coast is about forty minutes' drive. Weymouth has a long sandy beach. You can follow the coast road from there towards Lyme Regis.
The place has a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
