Cerne Abbey Cottage is what it says: a cottage on the grounds of Cerne Abbey. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
The main thing is the location. You're in the Abbey courtyard, part of the old buildings. The owners let you walk around the grounds. It's very quiet. You look out onto the courtyard.
The village, Cerne Abbas, is lovely. There's a shop and three pubs all within a minute's walk. They all do good food. The famous Giant is on the hill above the village. You can walk up to it from here.
The cottage has its own enclosed patio garden, which gets the sun. There's parking right outside the door. Inside, it's open plan downstairs with a woodburning stove. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept. WiFi is included.
You can bring one dog. Bedding is included.
For walks, you can step straight out onto the Dorset hills. The Piddle Valley and Hardy's Cottage are a short drive. The coast, like Lulworth or Weymouth, is about a 40 minute drive.
