Otters Holt
Otters Holt is a lodge cabin on White Horse Farm in Middlemarsh. It's separate from the main house and you get your own garden with it.
The place sleeps six, spread over three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Because it's all on one level, it's pretty straightforward to get around.
The farm itself is about two acres. There's a duck pond and a games room with a pool table. They've also built a big Finnish barbecue hut that you can book to use, it seats about fifteen people.
A pub that does food is about 200 yards up the lane. The nearest shop for basics is in Cerne Abbas, about four miles away.
You're well-placed for getting out. Cerne Abbas is close, you can see the Giant from parts of the road. Sherborne is six miles north. It's a nice town with an abbey, a castle, and decent shops. Dorchester is about twelve miles south. Weymouth and the coast is roughly twenty miles further on from there.
If you're driving out for the day, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is about half an hour away. For a walk, the Cerne Giant is managed by the National Trust. A bit further, but the Kingston Maurward gardens near Dorchester are good.
In terms of what's here, the lodge has a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. Parking is right outside.
