Otters Holt is one of the lodges at White Horse Farm, near Middlemarsh. It's a single-storey log cabin, which means everything is on the ground floor. It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The place is rated 4 Star. It's got its own large, enclosed garden.
The site itself is about two acres. There's a duck pond, a games room, and a big indoor barbecue cabin that you can book if you're a larger group. It's quiet here.
There's a pub about 200 yards up the road that does food. The nearest shop is in Cerne Abbas, about four miles away.
You're well placed for getting out. Sherborne is six miles north. It's a nice town with an abbey and a castle. Dorchester is about twelve miles south. If you head that way, the coast at Weymouth is about another eight miles on. The Jurassic Coast stuff, like Lyme Regis, is within a half hour drive too.
Locally, you've got the Cerne Abbas Giant four miles away. For a day out, the National Trust site has the details. The Visit Dorset website is good for planning.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Because it's all on one level, the doorways are wide and there are no steps at the entrance.
