The Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is part of a working farm, about 300 acres. It's sheep and beef, so you might see them in the fields. You're five miles south of Sherborne.
It sleeps twelve people. Five bedrooms and four bathrooms. There's a wet room on the ground floor which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating.
There's a games room with a pool table in the house itself. Outside, there's a shared games room that the other cottages here can use too. You can book the place with one of the other cottages if you need more space, or just have it to yourself.
The stairs are a bit steep in places, just so you know. We've got a stairgate though.
There's a fishing lake about a hundred yards away, it's coarse fishing. You're welcome to use it.
Sherborne is your nearest proper town. It's got the abbey, a castle, and some nice places to eat. The shop and the nearest pub are about three miles away.
If you're driving out, the coast is under an hour. Weymouth, West Bay, Lyme Regis. All on that Jurassic Coast. Inland, places like Montacute House and Stourhead are about half an hour away. For a family day, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is close, and Longleat is just over an hour.
The place has pretty much what you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TVs. Wood burning stove. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right here.
