Churchill Cottage Sandhills

Churchill Cottage is on our farm in Sandhills, Dorset. It's a working farm with sheep and cattle, so you might see some from the window. The cottage is part of a bigger farmhouse, but it's separate for guests. There's a door that connects to the main Farmhouse if you were booking both, but it's kept locked otherwise. You get your own garden, which is enclosed.

It sleeps six. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not ultra-modern. It's an old building, so the floors are a bit uneven in places. That's just how it is.

You're on the farm, so it's quiet. The nearest shop and pub are about three miles away in the village. They're fine. For a bigger shop, you'd go to Sherborne, which is about five miles north. It's a nice town with an abbey and a castle. Sherborne Castle is English Heritage.

You have access to the fishing lake on the farm, about 100 yards walk. There's also a shared games room with a pool table that all the farm cottages can use.

Within half an hour you can get to a few things. The coast at West Bay or Lyme Regis is about 30 minutes drive. That's the Jurassic Coast. For a big day out, Longleat Safari Park is roughly 40 minutes. Closer by, there's the Stourhead gardens, which are National Trust, and the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton.

What's here: the listed facilities are correct. There's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right outside. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
