The Beech Hut is a shepherd's hut on our land in Wraxall. It's just for two people. You're separate from the main house and look out over our fields and a little stream.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's small, but it has what you need. There's a double bed, a small kitchen area, and a separate shower room. The wood burner keeps the place warm. The stairs up to the bed are more like a ladder, so you need to be steady on your feet.
Outside, there's a private patio area with a barbecue. There's also an outdoor bath with hot and cold water. It's private, but you are outside.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right next to the hut.
The village is quiet. The nearest shop is about a mile and a half away. There's a good pub serving food about the same distance.
You're about a 30 minute drive from the coast. The Jurassic Coast is the big attraction here. Bridport, West Bay, and Lyme Regis are all easy to get to. Inland, places like Sherborne and Dorchester are about half an hour away. For a longer day out, the National Trust has lots of properties and coastline to explore.
