This is Pippin Yurt, in Melplash. It sleeps two. It's a proper glamping setup, fully insulated, so it's not just for summer.
Inside, there's a superking bed under a roof window so you can see the sky. There's a wood burner. The private bathroom with a hot shower is in a separate hut a few steps away. Your kitchen hut is also separate, right next to the yurt, and it opens onto a big private deck. You can sit out there with the firepit.
The yurt is on our smallholding. There’s an orchard and two spring-fed lakes you can walk to, about five minutes away. They're good for a wild swim or a paddle if you bring a board. The local footpaths start right from the gate.
The village pub is a ten-minute walk. They do food. We sometimes do wood-fired pizza evenings here too, if you’re around. You book and pay for that separately.
By car, you're about half an hour from the Jurassic Coast. Charmouth Beach is good for fossils. Bridport and West Bay are close too. Further along, Lyme Regis and the rest of the coast are within easy reach.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring up to two dogs. We've got another yurt and a shepherd's hut on site, so the place can be booked together for bigger groups.
