This is the Roundhouse at Walnut Farm. It's a modern, circular building built for the views. The big draw is the roof window over the main bed. You can lie there and look at the stars. It's a proper bed with a wood burner in the room too.
It sleeps four. One room has a super king bed under that window. The other room has two singles. There's one bathroom with a hot shower. The whole place is detached and private.
Outside is the best bit. There's a big deck with an outdoor kitchen, a firepit, and seating. It looks straight out over the lake and the valley. Very quiet. You can swim or paddleboard in the lake if you want. The owners sometimes do wood-fired pizza nights, which is handy.
It's on a working farm but feels separate. There's a pub you can walk to in a few minutes. It's a proper local. Bridport is about ten minutes by car. They've got a good market on Saturdays.
You're about twenty minutes drive from the coast at Charmouth or Lyme Regis. That's the Jurassic Coast, so fossil hunting is a big thing there. Inland, there's decent walking. The nearest golf or horse riding is a short drive away.
It's rated 4 Star. All bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. You can bring up to two dogs. The facilities list says 'glamping' which is fair, as it's a smart, simple space designed for being outside.
