Little Urswick is a quiet village nestled in the hills of the Furness peninsular, within 5 minutes’ drive you arrive in the lovely market town of Ulverston, the birthplace of Stan Laurel, half of the legendary duo of Laurel & Hardy. Ulverston offers a unique blend of attractions from the Laurel & Hardy Museum, nestled beneath the retro “Roxy” cinema to cobbled streets with a great selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants offering food from around the globe.
Half an hour’s drive, and you can access a lot of the Lakes attractions such as the iconic Lake Windermere itself.
