Caerffynnon Cottage

Caerffynnon Cottage is in Talsarnau. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level which is handy. The main bedroom has a double bed and there's a bunk room for two.

It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well equipped and everything should be in good working order. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. The kitchen is part of the main living area, so it's open plan. The dining bit has a high ceiling which makes it feel light.

You get the garden to yourselves. There's parking right outside. It's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.

The village is quiet. You can see fields from the windows. The coast is a few minutes away by car. For a big beach, head to Harlech. The castle there is impressive. Harlech Castle is worth a look if you like history.

Porthmadog is about a ten-minute drive. It's a proper little town with shops, places to eat, and the harbour. The Ffestiniog Railway station is there if you fancy a train trip into the hills.

You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. It takes about half an hour to drive into the heart of it for walking. Snowdonia National Park has all the route information. For something different, the slate caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog, like Llechwedd, are about a 25-minute drive.

Local spots: there's a golf course nearby, and places for horse riding and fishing if that's your thing.
