Tynffordd Fawr
Tynffordd Fawr is in Minffordd, in Gwynedd. It's a detached modern cottage.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and finished to a good standard. The layout is over three floors. The top bedroom is under the eaves, so the ceiling is lower in there. Fine for kids. There's a WC on the ground floor as well as the family bathroom upstairs.
The cottage has parking, and an electric vehicle charger. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. WiFi, TV, all included. Bedding and towels are provided. We can put up a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
The location is good for getting about. You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. The coast at Fairbourne is about three miles. The Ffestiniog Railway station is in the village. The drive up to Cader Idris starts a couple of miles away.
Within half an hour you can be at Harlech Castle, or wandering around Portmeirion. The Zip World Slate Caverns are at Blaenau Ffestiniog, about a twenty minute drive. For walks and routes, the Snowdonia National Park Authority website is useful. For general trip planning, Visit Wales has good information.
Facilities are listed above. There's local fishing and horse riding if that's your thing. A golf course is nearby. It's all fairly straightforward.
