This is Hafod Y Morfa, up in Harlech. It’s a detached house, so no one attached to you. You can see the castle from here.
It sleeps eight, but in three proper bedrooms. Two of those have their own bathrooms. There’s a third bathroom and a separate toilet downstairs. The eighth bed is a sofa bed in a sort of snug room off the lounge. Kids seem to like it. There’s a games console in there.
The main bit is open plan: kitchen, dining, lounge. The lounge has one of those electric log-effect fires. It’s comfortable, not huge. Doors open out to a balcony with a hot tub on it. That’s the feature. You can see the castle from it. The hot tub takes a while to heat up when you first get here, so don't expect it to be ready the evening you arrive.
There’s an enclosed garden as well, with a patio. It’s got a BBQ.
Location wise, you can walk down to Harlech Beach in about ten minutes. It’s a big sandy beach. The castle is even closer, maybe five minutes on foot. It’s a World Heritage site. Harlech Castle is worth a look.
Barmouth is a fifteen minute drive south along the coast. It’s a typical seaside town with shops and chip shops. For walking, you’re right on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. There’s plenty to do within half an hour. Shell Island is along that way too.
The house has a 5 Star rating. That means it’s well-finished. You get bedding and towels. There’s a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking. We can take up to two dogs. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them.
If you’ve got a bigger group, there’s an identical house next door. You can book both together.
