This is Isfryn, a cottage in Llanbedr. It's a village in the Snowdonia National Park. The house is detached, so no neighbours through the walls.
It sleeps four. There are three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. They've given it a 5 Star rating. It's been done up recently so everything feels new and works properly. The stairs are steep, a bit like a ship's ladder. You get used to it.
Downstairs is mostly one big room. Kitchen at one end, table in the middle, sofas at the other. Doors go out to the back garden. It's enclosed, so it's safe for kids or a dog. There's a separate toilet and utility room with a washer and dryer off the kitchen.
The village has a shop for basics and a pub that does food. It's a two minute walk. There's a place to hire bikes just down the road too.
Llanbedr has a good beach. It's sandy and won an award a few years back. Shell Island is about ten minutes drive away. It's a big campsite with dunes. You pay to drive on and can spend the day there. It's good for shell collecting.
You're well placed here. Harlech is ten minutes down the coast. The castle is worth a look. Harlech Castle is Cadw, so check their site for tickets. Barmouth is about twenty minutes drive. It's a proper seaside town with a long beach and pier.
For walking, you're right in it. The Rhinogydd hills are behind the village. For planning, the Snowdonia National Park Authority site is useful. Also Visit Wales has walking advice.
Facilities are all here: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for two cars on the drive. No pets, sorry.
