This is the shepherds hut at Tal y bont. It's called Ty'r Bugail.
It's a single hut for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's small but it's well done.
The main thing is the outside space. There's a hot tub outside, a proper one you can get in. It's got hot and cold water. There's a fire pit too. The garden is private and enclosed. You can bring dogs, we take up to two.
Inside, it's compact. There's a double bed, a small kitchen area, and a bathroom with a shower. There's seating for two. It's got WiFi and a TV.
You're very close to the beach. It's a short walk down to Tal y bont sands. There's a pub and a shop in the village, both are walkable.
Barmouth is a few miles down the coast. That's the bigger town with the harbour and more shops. If you want to go walking, you're right on the edge of Snowdonia. Harlech Castle isn't far, that's worth a visit. There's local fishing and horse riding if you want to arrange that.
We include bedding and towels. Parking is right by the hut. Dogs get a free half hour session at a secure field nearby called Whooffields, you get a voucher for that.
Useful links: Visit Snowdonia has walking routes and information. For the castle, Cadw's Harlech Castle page is best for tickets and opening times.
