Ethelbert Apartment
The Ethelbert Apartment is in Westgate-on-Sea, just along from Margate. It's a ground floor apartment in a Victorian terrace, sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
You can walk to the seafront in a few minutes. The beach there is sandy and good for kids. It's quieter than the main Margate beach.
The apartment has a decent sized living area that opens into the kitchen. There's a patio area outside with seating and a barbecue. The stairs inside are normal, not steep.
It's about a 15 minute walk along the promenade to Margate itself. Dreamland is there, which is good if you've got kids, or if you just like that sort of thing. The Turner Contemporary gallery is on the front too.
For a day out, you can drive to Canterbury in under half an hour. The cathedral is the main thing to see.
There's a local pub a short walk away. Westgate has a few shops for basics. For a bigger shop, you'd drive into Margate.
For facilities, it has the things you'd expect, wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
