The Bolt Hole is on the edge of Margate. It’s new, built in 2022, so everything works and there aren’t any odd corners. It’s for two people.
Inside, it’s one bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and one bathroom with a shower. The living space is all open plan. There’s a big 75-inch TV with speakers if you want to watch a film. The kitchen is fitted with an oven, hob, fridge, and a washing machine.
French doors open out to a small patio. It’s not a big garden, but there’s space to sit out. The whole place is on the ground floor and the entrance has no step, so it’s accessible.
You’re about seven minutes’ walk from the sandy beach. Margate itself is a ten minute walk. The old town has the Turner Contemporary gallery and the Dreamland amusement park. There are a lot of pubs and restaurants.
If you drive, you’re close to a lot of the Kent coast. Ramsgate and Broadstairs are about ten minutes by car. Whitstable is twenty minutes. For a longer day out, Dover castle and the White Cliffs are about forty minutes. You can find good information on the National Trust South East and Visit Thanet websites.
It has a 4 Star rating. That means it’s well finished and comfortable. Bedding and towels are included, and there’s wifi. No pets, sorry.
