West Bay House is in Westgate-on-Sea, which is just north of Margate. It's a very large, detached Victorian house.
It sleeps eighteen people. Nine bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's a 5 Star property, which means it's high-spec and everything has been recently done up.
The house faces west over the bay. You get the sunset from the front rooms. The front garden is paved, good for sitting out. There's a bigger garden at the back.
Inside, there's a big dining room with a large fireplace. The kitchen is modern. There's parking on the drive and an electric car charger.
Westgate itself is quiet. The high street is a couple of minutes' walk away, it's got a few shops and a small cinema. You can walk down to the sea front easily. Margate is about a five minute drive.
For a day out, you can drive along the coast to Broadstairs or Whitstable. Canterbury is about twenty minutes by car. The Visit Thanet site has local information. For wider Kent, English Heritage Kent lists historic sites.
Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and a cot and highchair if needed. No pets.
