Questeds

This is Questeds, near Margate. It's a very old, listed house from the 16th century. It's detached and sits on two acres of its own land, so you get a lot of privacy. The garden is enclosed.

The house sleeps fourteen people. Six bedrooms, five bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. Because it's so old, the floors are uneven in places. The doorways are low in some rooms. Something to be aware of if you're tall.

It's well set up for a big group. There are three separate reception rooms downstairs, so people can spread out. The kitchen is large and has modern appliances, like an induction hob and a coffee machine. It has three fridges, one is a wine cooler. There's a Sonos sound system and a cinema screen. Outside, there's a hot tub and a steam room.

The house is on the edge of Westgate. The train station is about 200 yards away, with direct lines to London and Margate. Westgate beach is a seven minute walk. You can walk along the coast to Minnis Bay one way, or into Margate the other way. Margate itself is about a five minute drive, or a quick bus or taxi ride.

Margate has the Turner Contemporary gallery and the Old Town with independent shops and cafes. The Harbour Arm has places to eat and drink. You've also got Dreamland, the Shell Grotto, and the Hornby Visitor Centre. There are two crazy golf places nearby, and an 18-hole golf course within walking distance.

The facilities are all there: parking, wifi, a washing machine, bedding and towels included. It is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two dogs.

It's in a quiet residential area, so we ask that you don't play loud music outside, especially late at night.
