This is Farm Cottage in Margate. It's one of a pair, just next to our house on what was an old dairy farm. The building's from 1652.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. The garden's a decent size and it's enclosed.
You're about half a mile from the beach. The town centre's a 10 minute walk. There's a shop a quarter of a mile away and a pub about 200 yards down the road. They do food.
In Margate itself, there's the Turner Contemporary gallery and the Old Town. Dreamland is the amusement park. The Shell Grotto is a strange local thing, it's worth seeing once. There's a small chalk cave under the garden here too, which is common for the area. I can show you round it if you like.
Broadstairs and Ramsgate are a short drive along the coast. The Viking Coastal Trail for cycling is right nearby. Canterbury with the cathedral is about a 30 minute drive.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking right here. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a BBQ you can use.
