Vine Cottage
This is Vine Cottage in Broadstairs. It's our family place, owned for over sixty years. The building is from the 1800s and is in the town's preservation area.
It sleeps five people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating because we've kept it well maintained, but it's an old house so it's full of character rather than being perfectly new.
The location is the main thing. You're in a quiet spot but only two minutes from the High Street and about five minutes' walk to the beach. The garden terrace gets the morning sun and you can sit out there with a view over the rooftops.
Broadstairs itself is good for families. The main beach is sandy and long. There are plenty of places to eat and drink on the High Street. If you want to go further, Margate with its beach and Dreamland is about ten minutes by car or train. The old town of Sandwich is roughly twenty minutes away.
For facilities, you've got pretty much everything: WiFi, TV, washing machine, a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the driveway, which is a relief in Broadstairs. The garden is enclosed. Sorry, we don't allow pets.
