The Viking Bay Apartment is a one-bedroom flat on the ground floor of an old Victorian building. It sleeps four in total, with a king-size bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area for another two. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It's right by the seafront in Broadstairs. Literally about a minute's walk to the sand of Viking Bay beach. You can see a bit of the sea from the front window.
The ceilings are high, which makes it feel spacious. It's open plan, so the kitchen, dining area and living room are all one room. There's a shower room, not a bath. Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi.
The location is the main thing. You're never more than 150 yards from a café, a restaurant, or the beach. You don't really need the car once you're here.
If you do want to explore, Ramsgate and its harbour are a short drive up the coast. Margate is a bit further, maybe 20 minutes by car, for the Turner Contemporary gallery or Dreamland. Historic Canterbury is about a 45-minute drive inland. Dover and the castle are roughly 35 minutes south.
Facilities are straightforward. It has a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a TV. There's a local pub close by. No pets, sorry.
For planning days out, the Visit Kent website is useful, as is the National Trust for Southeast & London page for nearby houses and coastline.
