Stable Cottage
Stable Cottage is in Margate, attached to our house. It used to be a stable. You can tell because of the stable door. It's a couple of minutes' walk from the sea front.
It sleeps two, in one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and everything works. We fixed it up a few years ago. There's an old bit of wall left exposed in the living room because it looked nice.
You get a little garden at the front, just for you. There's a patio bit with a table and chairs and a BBQ.
The facilities are what you'd hope for. TV, dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. Bedding and towels are included. We can take two well-behaved dogs. The entrance is step-free and everything is on one level inside.
Margate's just down the road. The Turner Contemporary is there, and the Old Town is good for a wander. There's a pub and a restaurant about 200 yards away, and a shop a bit further. For the beach, it's about a ten minute walk.
If you want to drive, Broadstairs and Ramsgate are ten or fifteen minutes away. Canterbury is about half an hour. The Viking Coastal Trail is good for walking or cycling along the coast.
