Stable Cottage is in Margate. It's next to our house, which is also an old farmhouse. This one sleeps two. It used to be stables.
It's a single storey cottage, so you don't have any stairs to worry about. The front door is a stable door. There's one bedroom with a shower room right next to it. It's got a four star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. There's an old chalk wall inside the living room they kept exposed.
You've got your own garden at the front. It's shared a bit with us next door, but we won't be in it. There's a patio area with a table and chairs. There's also a barbecue.
There's a local pub about 200 yards down the road. The town centre and the seafront are about a fifteen minute walk. The beach is sandy. The Turner Contemporary gallery is down there, and the old town has some interesting shops.
If you like walking, the Viking Coastal Trail goes right past. You can hire bikes in town. Dreamland amusement park is a short walk away. Broadstairs is a ten minute drive, Ramsgate about fifteen.
Inside, there's a TV, dishwasher, and washing machine. The bed is made up for you and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. The entrance is level, no step.
There's a chalk cave under the garden, which is common here. If you're interested, just ask and I can show you around it.
If you're looking for more information on the area, the National Trust looks after some nearby sites like Quex Park and the White Cliffs at Dover.
