The Fairway

The Fairway is on Margate Road in Westgate. It's a big 1930s detached bungalow, opposite the golf course. There's a good-sized drive with electric gates, so you can get three, maybe four cars on there.

It sleeps up to twelve people. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been checked and it's all up to a high standard. The layout is a bit unusual though. Bedroom three is only accessible through bedroom two, via a sliding wooden door. Bedroom five has its own door out to a big balcony with views towards the sea.

The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've brought a dog or have kids. There's a patio that gets the sun and a lawn area. The garden gate is secure.

You're about a six or seven minute walk from the beach at West Bay. It's sandy and good for swimming. The promenade goes for miles, towards Margate one way and Minnis Bay the other.

In Westgate itself, there's a parade of shops across from the station with a butcher, baker, supermarket, and post office. There are a few cafes and takeaways. The Carlton Cinema is a three-screen place, it's a bit old-fashioned but shows new films.

Margate is a ten minute drive. That's where Dreamland is, and Turner Contemporary. Ramsgate and Broadstairs are about fifteen minutes away. For a bigger shop, Westwood Cross is fifteen minutes by car.

There are eight bikes in the shed, four men's and four women's. You're welcome to use them, but you do so at your own risk. We don't provide helmets.

For facilities, you've got all the main things: parking, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. We let one dog stay.
