Newington House is in Ramsgate, a few minutes walk from the harbour. It's a terrace house on a residential street. You get a small walled garden at the back. It's enclosed, which is useful if you've got kids or a dog.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and recently done up. The stairs are a typical terrace house staircase, so they're a bit steep and narrow.
The harbour is the main point. Lots of places to eat and drink there. The main beach, Ramsgate Main Sands, is about a ten minute walk. It's a proper sandy beach. For something quieter, Pegwell Bay is good for birdwatching. That's about a ten minute drive.
If you're into history, there's the Ramsgate Maritime Museum by the harbour. For a day out, Sandwich is about fifteen minutes by car. It's an old town with a medieval centre. The Richborough Roman Fort is just outside Sandwich.
Further afield, you can get to Canterbury in under half an hour. Dover Castle is about twenty-five minutes drive. Broadstairs is the next town along the coast, a ten minute drive or you can walk along the cliff path.
Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden has furniture. Parking is on-street, usually fine but can be busier in summer.
