Pear Tree Cottage

Pear Tree Cottage is in Box's Shop, which is just outside Bude. It's a detached house, so you've got the place to yourselves. You're up on a bit of a rise, so you get good views over the fields.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of them is en-suite to the main double bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not luxurious.

The main living space is all open plan. Kitchen, dining table, and sitting area. The conservatory is nice in the morning, you can sit there with a coffee. The garden is private and lawned, with a table and chairs.

You're about ten minutes' drive from Bude. It's a good town for shops, cafes, and that. The beaches there are great for surfing. The closest beach to you is Black Rock Beach, about a mile away. It's sandy and the dogs like it.

If you want to explore the coast, you're in a good spot. Crackington Haven is about 15 minutes south. The cliffs there are impressive. Tintagel Castle is maybe 25 minutes away. If you're into the history, the new footbridge is quite something. English Heritage Tintagel has all the visitor info.

Boscastle and Port Isaac are both within half an hour. Boscastle has a lovely harbour. Port Isaac is the one from the TV. The coastal path runs right past it all if you're walkers.

Facilities wise: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and parking for a couple of cars. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.

For planning walks or days out, the National Trust Cornwall site is useful, and so is Visit Cornwall.
