This 200-year-old property has been renovated in 2019 to a very good standard. A few steps lead up on to a compact patio, which in turn leads into a porch with storage space. You then enter the main house, and into the spacious living/dining room which has a cosy wood-burning stove.
The Cottage is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with stunning views and walks from the property. Nidderdale is a beautiful dale set just outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park. About a mile further up Wath Road is a pub serving excellent food, and for a special occasion there is a Michelin star restaurant a further 3 miles away at Ramsgill . Pateley Bridge has a delightful High Street with two excellent butchers, a very good fish and chip shop and the oldest sweet shop in England!
Further afield to the west you will find the delightful Dales villages of Grassington and Burnsall, both about 20 minutes’ drive, and a further 10 miles away is the market town of Skipton with its medieval castle. Less than 30 minutes’ drive away you will find the cathedral city of Ripon and the historic spa town of Harrogate, both well worth a visit. The ancient city of York is less than an hour away. Other attractions include Brimham Rocks, a 10-minute drive, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, 20 minutes away and RHS Harlow Carr, 30 minutes. There is plenty to do and see during your stay! Shops, pubs and restaurants 1 mile.
