Ty Gladys

Ty Gladys is our cottage near Trevine in Pembrokeshire. It's a stone building from the 18th century that we've done up.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order. The floors are stone downstairs and there's underfloor heating, so it's warm. The stairs are the original cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.

There are two living areas. One is open plan downstairs with big doors out to the garden and a wood burner. The other is a smaller sitting room upstairs. From there you can get out to a terrace that looks over the fields to the sea. You can see the coast from several rooms.

The kitchen has what you'd need: dishwasher, washing machine. There's parking on the drive and an electric car charger if you need it. We allow two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.

You're right on the coast path for walking. The beach at Abereiddy and the Blue Lagoon are about ten minutes by car. Porthgain is five minutes away; it's a small harbour with a pub and a famous chip shop. St Davids is about a fifteen minute drive. That's where the cathedral is. It's useful for shops and cafes.

For a bigger beach, Whitesands is maybe twenty minutes away. Good for surfing. If you've got children, places like Folly Farm are within half an hour.
