Situated right in the city centre, Mews Cottage is part of an exclusive gated development of properties, some of which are former historic alms-houses dating from 1624. The property is beautifully furnished and has two bedrooms upstairs with stunning vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. There is also a bathroom on the first floor with a shower over the bath. Although the house is within walking distance to an array of eateries there is a fully equipped kitchen for those that want to rustle up a meal. In the very cosy lounge are two large sofas, a perfect spot to relax and watch a movie on the Smart TV. There is a private garden at the front of the property, a perfect spot to relax on a summer’s evening. Mews Cottage is perfect for a weekend or weeklong self-catering break to explore West Sussex with friends or family.
Just a few minutes’ stroll from the property into the centre of Chichester. This ancient city, which is small yet cosmopolitan, boasts a magnificent cathedral and fantastically preserved Roman walls. In addition to a wide variety of independent and high-street shops, pubs, and restaurants, many of the streets are edged with listed buildings. There are several art galleries and museums in Chichester, including the fine Pallant House Gallery, as well as opposite the renowned Festival Theatre. There is so much to explore from Chichester Harbour an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the beautiful sandy beaches at the Witterings, South Downs National Park, ideal for walking, cycling, and exploring and when the weather is clear, a visit to Trundle Hill car park will reward you with panoramic views of Chichester, the Sussex coast, as well as the Isle of Wight.
The nautical city of Portsmouth with Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Quays with designer outlets, and waterside dining are also within easy reach. Day trips to the Isle of Wight, HMS Victory and the Mary Rose can also be enjoyed.
