Welcome to The Boathouse, a gorgeous contemporary three-bedroomed holiday home in the heart of glorious Sandown. On the ground floor you will find the spacious open plan living, kitchen, dining area. The bright living area has bi-fold doors to the garden and comfy sofas to relax on, the kitchen is extremely well equipped and wonderfully laid out so you can cook and entertain at the same time while others are sat at the dining table playing games or enjoying the meal. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king bed while the other two bedrooms are one zip and link bed which can be split into twin beds or stay as a supering and one double bed. Share the spacious family bathroom with bath and separate shower. Downstairs on the first level is a bathroom with shower. Outside, the garden has a seating area and hot tub .
The pier and glorious Sandown Bay are just a short walk from the property, and voted one of the island’s best beaches, providing a long stretch of sand and great swimming waters. Along this stretch you can see the red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver cliff, and it is around here that fossil remains can be found. Sandham Garden’s play area is just a short walk along the esplanade, as well as the pier with go karting, sky nets and crazy golf. A short walk further along towards Yaverland, and you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary, formerly the isle of Wight Zoo, famous for its big cats. The town of Sandown is brimming with attractions, most of them right on the beach front itself, so you never have to stray too far from the golden sands.
If you are keen on an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water sports, and you’ll certainly see people paddle boarding, surfing, catamaran and dingy sailing, windsurfing and kite surfing, depending on the weather. There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages on this beautiful sunny island. The Needles landmark attraction is a must see, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay.
