Flint Cottage

Located in the beautiful Bowcombe Valley these former stables adjacent to the owners’ own home have been converted to provide an extremely well-presented, single-storey holiday home. Flint Cottage can sleep up to 4 people and offers it guests stylish and comfortable accommodation which further benefits from allocated off road parking, private garden and patio area. Surrounded by countryside views, Flint Cottage really is the perfect retreat. The quaint village of Shorwell with its characterful thatched cottages, local shop and excellent family public house is close by. Whilst within a 10-minute drive in the other direction is the larger town of Newport, with its array of restaurants, shops and multiplex cinema, there is a bus stop just a short distance from the property where you can catch a bus in either direction.
The island has become a real hot spot for cycling and walking enthusiasts with a choice of challenging off road bridleways, peaceful byways and level purpose-made tracks running along former railway lines. You can choose to take on the full round the island route, which is 66 miles long and is used for the annual Isle of Wight Randonnee, travel along the route at a more leisurely pace, and along the way you will find numerous restaurants, pubs and cafés, amongst the quaint villages and towns serving tasty local produce. Seashore and cliff walks showcasing stunning scenery can be found along the coastal paths and outdoor pursuits on the island are well catered for and include horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, water sports and golf.
There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages on this beautiful sunny island. The Needles landmark attraction is a must see and is a short distance away to the west, with its chair lift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Why not pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and gardens, or perhaps Blackgang Chine which is the oldest themed attraction in the UK, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the world renowned sailing town of Cowes. Whatever you decide, one things for sure, the Isle of Wight has plenty to offer for everyone. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
