The Granary is located on a small working farm on the western edge of the New Forest National Park and within a couple of miles of Ringwood, and overlookd a courtyard whith outside seating and views across the paddock. The picturesque village of Burley is only five miles away in the heart of the park where New Forest ponies are frequently found.
Upper Kingston is just two miles from the centre of Ringwood, an historic Market town located on the River Avon and on the edge of the New Forest National Park. It is an ideal touring base for visiting the south coast of England and surrounding area. It is well placed on the Avon Valley path, a 34 mile walk from the cathedral city of Salisbury to Christchurch Priory on the south coast. Ringwood has long been associated with beer making and Ringwood Brewery, just a mile away, offers brewery tours.
For an action packed holiday then Ringwood has plenty to offer. At Moors Valley Country Park you can take a Segway Forest Safari or zip wire through the trees. At Blashford Lakes just a short drive away, the Ellingham Water ski club organises water skiing, wake boarding and even a ride on an inflatable banana. At New Forest Activities in Beaulieu, you can enjoy Archery, kayaking, raft building or take a bushcraft course, and throughout the New Forest, horse riding and bike hire can be organised.
At the Ski Centre just a few miles away you can learn to ski or ride a ski bob, or ringo down the slopes. The sandy beaches of Bournemouth are just 9 miles away and Sandbanks with its Blue Flag award can be reached in 13 miles. At Hengistbury Head Beach and Nature Reserve there is a land train that takes you to Mudeford beach with its picturesque beach huts.
