Millhams Cottage

Millhams Cottage is a charming holiday home set just back from the bustling high street of Christchurch, this renovated in 2022 cottage offers all the charm of a period cottage, with all the modern facilities to make your stay perfect. This cosy cottage is perfect for a couple or family to enjoy a relaxing long weekend but would equally make the perfect base for a longer stay from where to explore this wonderful part of Dorset. Christchurch has a quaint high street with unique shops for you to browse along with a wide variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy. You can roam around the ruins of Christchurch castle and head down to the stream with the ducking stool, a replica of one that was in the same location in the 14th century. There are fantastic walks along the harbour which is inhabited by ducks and swans and there is a variety of fantastic eateries. Check the local events calendar as there are often events happening as well as the weekly markets.
There is the Regents Centre in Christchurch which often has family friendly shows, live music and films on for you to enjoy, pre-booking is advised. A short bus ride or drive away are a selection of beaches, head to Avon Beach for a pebble beach or to Southbourne for the Blue Flag sandy beaches which stretches towards Bournemouth and Sandbanks. You can visit Mudeford Spit and get the boat across to Hengistbury Head beach which is home to fantastic beach huts and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest here you can hire bikes to cycle around and take part in a variety of water sports. A little further afield is The New Forest with free roaming ponies, donkeys and cattle, there are numerous villages and towns within the new forest with independent shops, cafés, and pubs.
