Evening Star
Positioned adjacent to the coastal path, Evening Star is perfectly positioned. You can take picturesque walks with panoramic countryside and sea views from the doorstep. Set away from the noise of the road, you can wake up to total tranquillity only for the sound of the dawn chorus as the sun rises. It’s in a sheltered spot lying just below the undercliff in its own unique sub-tropical microclimate. If you are a keen stargazer, you will be delighted with the inky black skies at Niton as there is very little light pollution here in this part of the island, hence why we named the chalet Evening Star.
Evening Star was newly refurbished in 2021 and this year for 2022 we have installed smart new decking. It is perfect for al fresco dining, sipping a cheeky beer or chilled glass of wine while you gaze out to that glorious blue sea or look up to the inky dark skies at night on those warm summer’s evenings. The chalet has been thoughtfully decorated in stunning Farrow and Ball Stiffkey Blue and Strong White paint shades with a nod to coastal design.
It is south facing meaning you get the sunshine through out the day and from its elevated position you really do get a feel of living within the canopy of the treetops. Set in large established shared landscaped gardens, the chalet is on the upper level in a group of five similar chalets. The pretty lush location of the site is in a unique spot as it’s surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet close to civilisation. Badgers and red squirrels are regular visitors and you’re sure to see both. There’s a wonderful wildlife haven right on the doorstep. Guests have the use of the shared gardens. A short 20 minutes’ walk away is the beach at Castle Haven and Blackgang beach is also close by where you can top up your vitamin D.
It’s a short walk into the village where you’ll find 2 excellent pubs, mini supermarket, pottery studio that holds lessons, a pharmacy and library. The fish and chips van arrives each Friday evening and alternative Saturdays on the village car park, and the village holds a farmers market.
