Valentine Cottage is a super cute 2-bedroom character cottage tastefully decorated in heritage colours with light oak floors throughout. Situated in the charming Hampshire village of Twyford nestled on the edge of the South Downs National Park the private enclosed rear garden and rural location create an idyllic setting for a romantic getaway. The welcoming sitting room has comfortable seating for four with a wood burner set in a feature fireplace making an ideal setting for relaxing evenings after exploring the many surrounding attractions. Leading off the sitting room is a cosy snug with a collection of books and a selection of spirits which can be enjoyed in return for a small donation, so why not treat yourself to a read over a nightcap. There are even books with cocktail recipes if you are feeling adventurous. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable including a retro fridge freezer, Lavazza coffee machine machine, and a dishwasher, as who wants to do the dishes when you are on holiday? The dining area is in the heated conservatory with French doors opening out onto the pretty garden - great for year-round dining options. There is also a writing bureau and a comfortable sofa which is ideal for a relaxing drink. There is an easily accessible double bedroom downstairs with plenty of wardrobe space, as well as a spacious wet room and utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. On the first floor, there is a spectacular double bedroom with vaulted ceilings and lovely views to the local park and cricket pitch. All beds have Egyptian cotton bed linen. Outside at the front is a comfortable bench and a bike store with chain, padlock and ground anchor, suitable for up to four bikes. Please request keys for the bike shed when you make your initial booking. At the rear there is a pretty enclosed garden with a barbecue and more outside seating.

The New Forest with all that has to offer is 20 minutes by car. Other areas of interest include Swanwick with its marinas and the Jolly Sailor pub where Howard’s Way was filmed, the beaches of the south coast and even the Isle of Wight is only a hop across the Solent.
