Set in the beautiful village of Warnborough Green, a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest. Owned and managed by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. This site consists of two species-rich wet meadows on either side of the River Whitewater.
Mount Cottage has two bedrooms, one with twin beds the other with a double bed and a family bathroom on the 1st floor. The ground floor has a great sociable open plan sitting/dining room and kitchen with everything you could need to rustle up an evening meal and a dishwasher, so no one is left with the dishes. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A large curved smart TV to relax in front of after a busy day exploring the area. Plus, two comfy sofa beds in the lounge. Straight out the front door is a choice of stunning walks, including a beautiful short stroll away takes you to Odiham Castle, one of only three fortresses built by King John during his reign. The route passes the Basingstoke Canal, another beautiful spot. Only a 4-minute walk to the local village pub.
Close by to a farm shop, café and cookery school. The picturesque village of Odiham is a 30-minute walk or short 4-minute drive away selections of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. Odiham lies on the banks of the Basingstoke Canal and has a rich collection of historic buildings as well as lovely countryside and canal walks nearby. The Basingstoke Canal, built in the 1700s, flows between Hampshire and Surrey and eventually links with the Rivers Wey and Thames. 32 miles of the canal have been restored for the benefit of walkers, canoeists, anglers and naturalists.
