Northash
Northash is a wonderfully presented one-bedroom holiday home situated between the historic market towns of Pulborough and Storrington in West Sussex. Offering private, spacious, self-catering accommodation for two this duplex apartment has a sizeable kitchen/dining room downstairs and upstairs a comfortable living room a bright and airy en-suite bedroom. Outside, accessed through a side gate, is a private gravel and patio garden area.
Positioned beside the owners’ home in the beautiful area of West Chiltington this is a great base to explore the South Downs National Park with the RSPB Pulborough Wildbrooks River Arun and West Sussex Golf Club a mile away. This is one of the most sought after residential areas in West Sussex with many beautiful homes enjoying a peaceful rural setting. Such a location makes a great place to be for a few well-earned days away or a short let stay for those looking for longer term accommodation . The Wildbrooks on the flood plain at nearby Pulborough offers many excellent walks along the banks of the River Arun and uninterrupted views south towards the Downs. The Pulborough Wildbrooks also contains one of the RSPB’s major reserves in the south and it all falls within the new National Park.
Immediately behind Northash is the West Sussex Golf Club which is regularly judged one of the outstanding inland courses in Britain with a priceless oasis of heather, sand heath and trees beneath the Sussex Downs. For any golf lover staying at Northash it is very convenient indeed. Three miles south in the direction of Storrington and nestling at the foot of the South Downs is Parham House, a magnificent Elizabethan home that is a real jewel. In the other direction is the historic market town of Petworth, best known as the location of the stately home Petworth House and deer park which was landscaped by Capability Brown. The town is full of quaint houses and cottages many within their own courtyard settings. They are interspersed with antique shops and tearooms so it makes the ideal place for a stroll following a visit to Petworth House and Park.
This area of West Sussex has a variety of events that occur through the year from Goodwood racing and the motorsport meetings to the Arundel Festival, racing at Fontwell and polo at Cowdray. Northash makes a great base to enjoy any of these, it is within a 20 minute drive of them all. Beach 14½ miles. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
