Sweet Knoll Cottage is located off a single track lane in the village of Peak Forest, it is a cosy country cottage with oak beams and stone floor. The farmhouse style kitchen offers all equipment you should require to cook a hearty breakfast before you head out for the day exploring, it is open plan with the living area which has comfortable seating, TV, electric wood burner and a dining table with chairs. The bathroom is located on the ground floor which has a bath and shower attachment. On the first is the double bedroom which is open to downstairs, it has fantastic views over the Peak Forest countryside. At the front of the property there is a bistro set where you can continue to enjoy the views and plan your day ahead, parking is available. The discreet owner lives on-site and is on hand should you need advice or assistance during your stay.
Sweet Knoll Farmhouse and Cottage are located adjacent to a working farm close to one of the Peaks largest potholes and named one of the seven wonders of the Peaks is Eldon Hole, which is 180 feet deep. Take a short drive from the village into Castleton where you can explore Blue Johns Caverns, Chatsworth is also close by where you can learn about the history of this stately home and take a walk around the gardens. The town of Buxton lies close by which offers a variety of places to eat and shop as well as the Buxton Opera House which has shows on weekly. There is a pub in the village which has a menu available Thursday – Sunday.
