Hillside Farm is situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park. The cottage sits below Rushup Edge which leads towards the well known mountain, Mam Tor also known as the ’Shivering Mountain’. The Great Ridge and Kinder Scout are also within a short drive. There is something for everyone whether you enjoy cycling, walking, horse riding or hang gliding, they are all on your doorstep. Hillside Farm is also a wonderful base to explore the many attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Lyme Park and the local caverns at Castleton to name a few. The small town of Chapel-en-le-Frith is 3 miles away and has a supermarket, petrol station, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The spa town of Buxton is 8. 5 miles away and is home to the beautiful Crescent and Buxton Opera House.
Hillside Farm Cottage has a well-equipped, modern kitchen with dining table to seat all guests. The lounge has comfortable seating a TV and log burner. There is also a downstairs toilet. On the first floor are two bedrooms, one with kingsize bed, the second with zip and link twin bed which can be super kingsize bed which on request. There are stunning, uninterrupted views down the valley which can be seen from the bedrooms as well as being enjoyed on the patio furniture in the beautiful garden. There is also a family bathroom located on the first floor.
It is a wonderful, countryside break with a relaxing log burner to enjoy in the evenings when you are resting sore feet! A car is essential for getting around due to the rural location of the cottage.
