Dragon Cottage

Treat yourself to a special break close to the southern fringes of the Peak District in the unspoilt village of Brassington. This delightful cottage has been renovated to a superb standard, and retains original features, oak beams, and an exposed stone wall together with quality furnishings and super decoration to create a wonderful holiday retreat. Situated in Brassington it’s just a short stroll to a choice of two local country pubs. Many guests love to explore the lanes and trails around the village.

Head inside via the front of the property where you will find a handy hallway to leave boots and coats. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, and dishwasher and washing machine. Take a few steps into the dining area where you can enjoy your breakfast, with views of the village. The lounge is a lovely area with comfy sofas, a tranquil space with a wood burner to keep the chill at bay. When it’s time for bed, head up to the first and second floors to get comfortable for the night. On the first floor you will find a double bedroom with en suite bathroom. The third floor also has a large double room with en suite, both rooms have beautiful linen and accessories decorated in calming, neutral tones. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor.

Dragon Cottage is Perfect for couples and small families wanting a special break, this rural retreat is inviting and stylish with country cottage charm situated in a beautiful village location. The attractive and unspoilt conservation village of Brassington is perched on a hillside on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park with glorious open countrysides. It is a traditional Peak, limestone village with many cottages dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Ideally situated for the High Peak, Tissington Trail and Carsington water for those who like walking or cycling, also close by are Dovedale and Ashbourne.

The nearest town with a selection of shops for any food and essentials is Wirksworth, browse the local butchers, bakery, and deli for some tasty treats with many only using local produce. Adrenaline-seekers can head to Alton Towers for the day for a chance to enjoy thrilling rides within the beautiful Alton grounds.
