The Old Rectory

The Old Rectory is a fantastic property, ideally located for exploring Buxton’s town centre and beyond. On the ground floor of this property is the living room, with decorative fireplace and comfortable seating, a dining room with long table and benches and a fully equipped kitchen and separate toilet. On the lower ground floor is a further sitting room with two sofas, one of which is a click-clack sofa bed which can be made up on request, plus a twin bedroom. On the first floor is the family bathroom and two bedrooms. On the second floor are the two remaining bedrooms. The property offers an outdoor courtyard to the rear with a picnic bench. There is free on-street parking.
The home is located just minutes from Buxton’s lively town centre by car and around a short, ten-minute amble on foot. The town centre offers an abundance of great restaurants with cuisines to tempt every palate, alongside gin and cocktail bars, cosy pubs, cafes, and independent shops. Explore the famous Pavilion Gardens or visit the Opera House, which offers weekly shows. Or, if you’re in the mood for pampering, head to the spa at the prestigious Buxton Crescent Hotel. If you fancy escaping the town for the day, you can hop on the direct train to Manchester for a city day out or opt to discover Buxton’s many neighbouring towns, such as Bakewell, Matlock and Ashbourne. Surrounding the area is ample Peak District countryside with scenic trails and hills for walkers and cyclists, or you can explore the famous caverns in Castleton. Alternatively, if you want an adrenaline-fuelled day, try the high ropes at Buxton’s Go Ape or visit Alton Towers, which is only a 45-minute drive away.
