Exeter House is located in the historic market town of Buxton, known for its springs and home to two famous spas, the Devonshire Dome and the Crescent, which was recently renovated in 2022. There are many independent and high street shops, restaurants serving delicious food, as well as bars and cafés. Manchester is a one hour train journey direct from Buxton if you want a day in the city with late trains available, or book to see a show at Buxton Opera House. There is an abundance of walks, trails and activities to get stuck into in and around Buxton, you are spoilt for choice with things to do, and Exeter House is the perfect base to retreat back to at the end of your fun-filled day for a good night’s rest.
