Outside the large lawned garden is secure meaning those with children and four legged friends can truly relax. Ample walks are available from the door including around Ladderedge Country Park which covers 70 acres of parkland, woodland and meadows. For amenities the traditional, historic market town of Leek with its charming, cobbled marketplace provides a wide selection and is just 5 minutes away by car. For steam rail enthusiasts the delightful Churnet Valley Railway is just a 10-minute drive together with Cheddleton Flint Mill which provides a nod to Staffordshire’s industrial past. Cycle hire is available on the Manifold Valley Trail which starts in nearby Waterhouses, and the popular towns of Ashbourne and Buxton can both be reached in around a 30-minute drive.
For any thrill seekers Alton Towers is also just 30 minutes as is Trentham Gardens and Monkey Forest. Just slightly further afield are Chatsworth House, the ever-popular market town of Bakewell and the wonderful cable car ride up to the Heights of Abraham which can all be reached in around 50 minutes. It’ll be really difficult to know where to start!
