This charming cottage offers luxury accommodation for four guests and your four-legged friend with an extremely warm welcome. Set in the heart of the Derbyshire village of Fritchley surrounded by beautiful countryside, a short drive from Crich in one direction and Belper in the other, both popular Derbyshire market towns to explore whilst having a luxurious break in Robin Cottage. Robin Cottage has been transformed into a stylish holiday home, designed as a peaceful retreat for families and friends. You will enter a beautiful garden room which lets the light flood through; a perfect place to relax and watch the fabulous bird life in the garden. There is an open-plan dining and well-equipped kitchen area, with separate utility room and downstairs cloakroom. You will find a comfortable sitting room with snuggly sofas and a wood burning stove. Wind up the narrow staircase and you will discover high ceilings with exposed trusses which give a spacious feel to the beautifully designed interior. There are two bedrooms and a wonderful bathroom. Outside is a landscaped cottage garden with dry stone walls and even your very own bubbling stream to enjoy at the bottom of the garden. After a busy day, this is the perfect retreat to sit and listen to the stream and have a glass of something cold!
This quaint village is set just south of Crich. In the village you will find a pub which serves as a fantastic base for exploring this area of Derbyshire. Nearby Crich is full of character and history, and boasts several shops even an artisan bakery and several pubs. There are walks around Crich village, and trams, move up the valley to some of the most beautiful views of the Derbyshire Dales. Matlock, 8 miles away, offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as Gulliver’s Kingdom. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car that takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham - a great place for all the family with its show-caves, nature trail and water gardens. Robin Cottage is situated in an excellent location and is in the perfect spot for walking and exploring the Peak District with its many attractions including, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the lovely market towns of Bakewell and Matlock . A perfect retreat at any time of the year.
