The old market town of Bakewell is a must, as well as a day visit to Chatsworth House and its 1, 000-acre estate, made famous by ‘Pride and Prejudice, ’ or Haddon Hall. The famous of village of Eyam is steeped in history and this cosy property was once the home of the village baker during the plague of 1665.
