This beautiful apartment is located in the gorgeous coastal village of Gurnard at the top of a quiet unmade road that lies just to the west of the famous yachting town of Cowes with its waterfront area less than 1. 5 miles away. This friendly village has a great community spirit and amenities that include the local beach, the Portland Inn pub serving great food just across the road, a church on the corner, the village green, and Woodvale pub with stunning views across the Solent. Gurnard has some of the best sunsets you are likely to see in England - a great photo opportunity.

Take a Beryl e-scooter - available from just across the road, or a stroll along Prince Albert’s esplanade, to Cowes town centre, where you will find an array of pubs, cafes, great restaurants, and independent shops. Cowes is a hive of activity in the summer months as it plays host to many sailing competitions including the Round the Island Race and of course the famous international Cowes Week. Across the River Media is East Cowes, home to Osborne House which was the holiday home of Queen Victoria. Enjoy the Italianate-style gardens and an ice cream on the beach with her bathing machine! A short distance is Quarr Abbey, a working Benedictine monastery, where visitors are welcome to attend worship, visit the gardens, or visit their lovely tea shop, with homegrown produce available to purchase.
Heading a short distance West from Gurnard, you will find Newtown National Nature Reserve – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with breath-taking views. It is a quiet backwater with a busy Medieval past, now bursting with wildlife and a town hall with no town, the area is a haven for birdwatchers, keen walkers, and cyclists, with footpaths leading through stunning countryside.
