North Cottage
North Cottage is in Lowestoft, on the High Street. It's part of the old lighthouse keeper's house, so the actual lighthouse is right next to it. You see it out of some of the windows. Your bit of the garden is enclosed.
It sleeps six, but that's across two bedrooms. So one room has a double bed, the other has a double and a set of bunk beds. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's got what you need and is comfortable. The stairs are normal, not a weird spiral or anything.
You're on the street, so there's a bit of coming and going, but you're steps from the beach and the seafront. The view from the front rooms is straight out to the North Sea.
If you want a proper day out, Southwold is about a twenty minute drive up the coast. The pier is good, and the Adnams shop is there if you're interested. For walks, the Suffolk Coast Path is right there. National Trust Suffolk Coast has details on some of the best bits.
Further afield, you can get to the Norfolk Broads in half an hour for a boat trip. Africa Alive and Pleasurewood Hills theme park are also within about thirty minutes.
