Casa Carlotte House is on North Parade in Lowestoft. It's a big, semi-detached Victorian house from the 1880s. There are seven bedrooms and it sleeps up to thirteen people. It’s a four-star rating, which means it’s well-equipped and comfortable for a large group, but it's an old house, not a new build.
You’ve got two bathrooms for the whole house. The stairs are the original ones, so they’re a bit steep and turn corners. Something to be aware of.
The garden is enclosed, which is good for kids or dogs. You get two pets allowed. There's parking on the driveway.
It’s in a really good spot for the seafront. The coastal cliff path is literally two minutes’ walk from the front door. Gunton Beach is about five minutes down the hill. Directly opposite the house is Belle Vue Park, which you get to over a little Victorian iron bridge. There's a working lighthouse in there and the Sparrows Nest Gardens below it. Good for a wander.
In the house, you’ve got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TVs. Bedding and towels are included. The kitchen has what you need to cook for a crowd.
Lowestoft itself has the harbour and South Pier. Pakefield Beach is along the coast, popular for fishing. A short drive gets you to Oulton Broad, which is where the Norfolk Broads start. Good for sailing and boats. If you’ve got kids, Pleasurewood Hills theme park and Africa Alive are nearby. Great Yarmouth is about twenty minutes by car for the big sandy beach and the seafront attractions.
