This is Cliff House, in Beesands. It's right on the front, next to the footpath.
It sleeps five people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfy and clean, not too fancy. The main bedroom looks straight out over the beach. There's parking for two cars on the drive, which is a real bonus here.
You can bring two dogs. The beach is just across the lane, it's all shingle, and dogs are allowed on it all year.
The village is small. There's a good pub that does food, and a shop that sells basics and fresh crab. That's about it, which is the point. For a bigger shop, you'd drive to Kingsbridge.
You're on the South West Coast Path. You can walk south to Hallsands to see the old ruined village, or north towards Torcross. Start Point Lighthouse is a proper coastal walk, about half an hour's drive away, then you walk out to the tip.
If you like wildlife, there's the freshwater lake at Slapton Ley just up the coast. It's a National Nature Reserve. Slapton Ley Field Centre has information about it.
For facilities, you've got the included things: WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels. There's a washing machine. There's a small enclosed patio garden out the back with a table.
